2023 SAASTA Connect Cup wrap up
A look at the SAASTA Connect Cup in full swing at Alberton, a program which uses the power of sport to engage First Nations students statewide in years 7, 8 and 9 with their education.
Power SAASTA Connect aims to inspire First Nations middle school students to complete their schooling and is crafted as a dedicated and direct pathway into the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup.
Using AFL as an incentive, this program provides a pathway into the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup, with the goal of making a positive contribution to National Closing the Gap targets aligned to health, wellbeing and education.
Students participate in education workshops leading into an annual cup which brings together al participating schools to culminate the program. The cup includes AFL activities, cultural workshops and a careers and health expo.
